Internet Commerce Engine 5

Kirker Communciations was started in the early 1990's by Jim Kirker of Huntington Beach CA. He spent 7 years working for Xerox Corporation, where he worked on photocopier and laser printing systems.

In 1990, he left Xerox Corporation to start up his company that specialized in Novell Netware LAN Systems with Netware Version 1.0.

During the 90's, Jim Kirker participated in the creation of Page Ability. Page Ability was one of the first Alpha-Numeric Pager Software Programs for generating and transmitting messages to pagers.

In the late 90's, Jim Kirker steered Kirker Communications towards the Fiber Optic and point 2 point data radio contracting business. Much of his business came from Aloha and HSI POS Systems for Hospitaility, and many fiber and radio links were installed for Hotels and Luxury Resorts from Hawaii to the Mississippi River.

In the year 2002, Jim Kirker decided to go back into the software business, specializing and focusing on web based applications. He wrote programs in both Microsoft Classic ASP, and Unix/Linux Perl, PHP and C.

In the year 2004, Jim Kirker stopped writing programs for Unix/Linux and focused on Microsoft's ASP.Net.  Unix/Linux programs were a tough sell, and nobody wanted to buy them.  Everyone thinks they should be free. The Microsoft ASP.net Programming Foundation was very robust, and much more feature rich at the time.

By the year 2005, Jim Kirker has ported all of his programs to Microsoft's ASP.Net platform, and began selling them in early 2007.

Now Jim Kirker is ready to sell his programs to the world with the introduction of Internet Commerce Engine 5, the fifth rewrite of the original ECommerce/Shopping Cart Program that was written in the yer 2000, but this time in Microsoft's ASP.net.
